Financial Resources
Federal Student Aid
Pell Grant
The most need-based of the student aid programs, this program provides grant aid to low and middle-income undergraduate students. Awards vary depending on the cost of attendance and financial circumstances of students and their families.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
Participating schools award SEOG to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need, based on the availability of funds.
Direct Loan Programs
These funds are lent directly to students for undergraduate and graduate studies through participating post-secondary schools with funds borrowed from the US Treasury. Direct Loans include subsidized and unsubsidized loans, Plus loans for parents and consolidation loans.
Alternative Loans
New Jersey Class Loans
These funds give a student the ability to borrow as much as they need to meet the remaining cost of education after other financial aid. Students must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), attend a New Jersey school or be a New Jersey resident, be a US Citizen or eligible non-citizen, and be enrolled at least half-time. Approval is based on the borrower’s satisfactory credit history and ability to repay the loan, not on financial need (a co-signor may be required).
